Doris Spielthenner
As Managing Director of SMA Australia and Regional Manager APAC Doris Spielthenner heads the Residential, C&I and Large Scale Utility business across ANZ, India, China and Taiwan, South East Asia, Japan and South Korea. Doris Spielthenner joined SMA from senior management positions in the software and professional services industries across APAC, Europe, and the US.
Doris is passionate about building and growing businesses, with strong leadership across B2B and B2C, recently in the Greentech industry. She is a dynamic, results-focused leader with a top tier consulting background and strong planning and execution experience. She is also the co-founder of a global software business.

Patrick Duignan
Patrick Duignan heads the Home, C&I team for the Australian market which focuses on solutions from residential systems for the home to more complex and tailored solutions for businesses.
Pat has over 10 years of experience in the Solar and renewable energy industry and has been in senior roles for module, inverter and battery storage companies during that time. Pat has a strong focus on developing strong authentic relationships with key partners in the solar market with the goal to have mutually beneficial outcomes.

John Alexander is Vice President of the Large Scale segment at SMA Australia, where he drives the growth and innovation of large-scale renewable energy projects across Australia and New Zealand, strengthening SMA’s market leadership.
With over 35 years of experience in the energy sector, John brings a comprehensive background in renewable energy operations, project finance, and corporate banking. He has a proven track record of leading high-performing teams, creating innovative solutions, and optimizing stakeholder returns while fostering a culture of accountability, fiscal discipline, and transparency. His expertise positions him well to navigate industry dynamics and contribute to SMA's commitment to sustainability and grid stability through advanced grid-forming technology.

Steven Schoeller
Steven Schoeller leads the Marketing team across SMA’s Asia-Pacific region, spanning Oceania, Japan, India, Southeast Asia, and China. Throughout his 20+ year career he held senior management and leadership positions in energy renewables and consumer technology, based in both Europe and Australia. With a wealth of experience in marketing, communications and multi-channel brand and business strategy, Steven joined us in September 2022 after a 3 ½ year tenure at SMA’s global headquarters in Kassel/Germany. Throughout his career, Steven has consistently operated at the forefront of marketing, spearheading global initiatives that cultivate differentiation, competitive edge, and, ultimately, growth within fragmented and increasingly commoditized tech sector environments.
